That's a wrap!

Today was the big day, the day I've been dreading. Closing day.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it to be. However there were a few times I almost cried my eyes out, as I explained to the buyer how wonderful her house is going to be, and how awesome Sea Cliff is. You would think with a background in Real Estate Sales, I wouldn't be as sad by this transaction. However, when it's your own place, a home you love, a Village you love with great friends to boot there, then it does get personal.

I sat at the closing table, with hubby to my left and Anthony ( our friend and outstanding Attorney), across from us were the Buyers, and their Attorney. As their Attorney, who was very nice, boasted about his representing the Goo Goo Dolls singers purchase of property in Sea Cliff ( or as he called them GOOGLE DOLLS) ,I couldn't help but gaze over to the buyer who was about to be the new homeowner of my house. I felt obligated to say something positive. So I bursted out "are you excited". She replied with a sigh of relief, "I am but I need oxygen". We all laughed.. "ahh I broke the ice", I thought.
I kept the conversation lite, but I then took the opportunity to brag about Sea Cliff. I was so glad to see her excitement about the Village.
It made closing so much easier.

We are here at my mother-in-laws house till we find a place.
Considering we are not in Japan where awful things are going on, I'm very grateful today. I'm grateful to have a roof over our head, a awesome daughter and great husband.
